Our equipment requirements.
This is the list we ask every manufacturer to document before we offer its equipment – and it applies to every site where we install. No product figures here – those are in the site assessment.
- 01Chemistry
- LFP (lithium iron phosphate) – the most stable industrial battery chemistry for outdoor installation.
- 02Battery management
- Cell-level monitoring: voltage and temperature per cell, protection against overcharge and deep discharge.
- 03Thermal management
- Active cooling and heating so the system runs at full power year-round in the Nordic climate.
- 04Enclosure
- Outdoor-rated cabinet with the manufacturer-specified ingress protection; fire-protection concept in the manufacturer documentation.
- 05Certificates
- CE conformity, the industrial lithium battery safety standard (e.g. IEC 62619) and the transport test (UN 38.3) – documents before the order, not after.
- 06Interfaces
- Open interface for the aggregator and monitoring (e.g. Modbus TCP/IP), so control does not depend on a single supplier.
- 07Grid
- Compliance with the distribution operator’s connection and protection requirements; the manufacturer supplies the data the connection application needs.
- 08Warranty
- Written warranty terms in years and cycles, permitted capacity degradation, and who is liable for which failure – a separate line in the assessment.
- 09Service and spare parts
- Service and spare parts in Finland or Estonia with an agreed response time; documentation in the local language or English.
For manufacturers and importers.
If your equipment meets the list and you want to enter the Finnish and Estonian markets, write to info@samaenergia.fi. What we bring: two markets, an aggregator partner in each, installation partners, and assessment-based selling that never promises more from the equipment than it delivers.
